1. Data controller
The data controller is the company shown at the top of this page. For any question about your data, write to the “Personal data contact” address listed there.
2. Scope
This policy covers the Mboa website and the waitlist. The Mboa apps (Mboa app, Mboa Pro app) will have their own privacy policy, published when they launch.
3. Data we collect
We only collect what we need.

The site never asks for an ID document, bank details or Mobile Money credentials.
4. Legal basis
This data is processed on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 8).
5. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal data.
- We don’t use your data for third-party advertising.
- We don’t add you to any list other than the one you chose.
6. Who processes your data
Only the Mboa team and the following technical providers can access your data, strictly for their task:

These providers may store data outside Cameroon, in particular in the European Union and the United States.
7. Retention
Your data is kept until you unsubscribe, and at most 24 months after your last exchange with us. It is then deleted.
8. Your rights
Under Cameroon’s Law No. 2010/012 on cybersecurity and cybercrime, and the GDPR principles Mboa applies voluntarily, you can at any time:
- access your data and get a copy;
- correct it;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent and unsubscribe.
To unsubscribe, use the link in any of our emails or write to us. For other requests, write to the “Personal data contact” address at the top of this page. We reply within 30 days at most.
9. Cookies and analytics
The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies and in aggregate. The anti-bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) is only used to protect the forms.
10. Security
All communication with the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the waitlist is limited to the Mboa team members who need it.
11. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not respected, please write to us first. If your complaint is not resolved, you can contact ANTIC (Cameroon’s National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies).
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
